Will you Step Up For Stomas?

Support us and get involved with this year’s Step up for Stomas - Active April. We are encouraging ostomates and supporters of Colostomy UK to keep their minds and/or bodies active in ways that suit them best across the whole of the month, raising vital funds for us in the process.

Whether you take on our 200,000 step challenge (that’s one step for each person in the UK living with a stoma), or create your own personal activity with the aim of raising £200 or £2,000, we would love for you take part.

No fancy equipment or gym membership is needed – as long as you have an active challenge that is suited to your abilities, such as walking, swimming, chair workouts, keeping your mind active with daily reading and much more, you can take part in Step Up for Stomas - Active April.

We have plenty of ideas over on our Active April webpage. You can also email us at: getinvolved@colostomyuk.org

Barnsley FC join our Stoma Friendly Toilets campaign

“I would like to thank the football club for understanding the need for specialist provision for people living with a stoma. Having experienced this with Patrick, I know how difficult it is planning around a suitable place to change their bag. It was so easy to say ‘no’ because life with a stoma is unpredictable. The freedom to carry on with your everyday life without having to explain your predicament is so important.”

– Jean Cryne, Director and Co-owner of Barnsley FC.
