Welcome to our June Newsletter

Hello from everyone at Colostomy UK!

You’ll find this edition of our e-newsletter covers work and play. For instance, we’ve working with parliamentarians on better toilet provision across the UK. While when it comes to play, we’ve got your summer holidays sorted, as we cover how to navigate airports while living with a stoma.

We’ve been working closely with Jim Shannon and MPs from across Parliament to raise awareness of the challenges many people living with stomas face when accessing suitable toilet facilities. For many people living with a stoma, access to a suitable toilet is not a convenience, it is essential to maintaining dignity, independence, and confidence. Yet too many people continue to face barriers that can restrict work, travel, and participation in everyday life. We're grateful to Jim Shannon MP and MPs from across the House for supporting this debate, and proud to have worked together to ensure the experiences of people living with stomas are being heard in Parliament.
