This online event is free for anyone supporting someone living with a stoma in the home—whether that’s a family member, friend, neighbour, or someone you care about. Support can take many forms, from practical help with stoma management to being there for emotional support.
No previous knowledge is needed and you will recieve a CPD Certificate on completion.
Our stoma care workshop is facilitated by an experienced Stoma Care Nurse, Rali Marinova, who will be covering the basics of stoma care to help you build your confidence:
• Learning the anatomy of the bowels and stoma formation
• Demonstrating how to change a stoma bag
• Recongnisng stoma management challenges
• Conscidering the psychological impact of having a stoma
• Knowing who to contact and when
Plus, a Q&A to ask a stoma care nurse your real life concerns and questions.
The workshop will take place via Zoom and will last 90 minutes on the 16th of June, from 18:00 - 19:30PM.
